RINA opens Korean plan approval office

International classification society RINA has now a stronger presence in Busan, Korea. A new office, opened this month, has become necessary to service RINA's rapid growth in Korean and Japanese shipyards, where it is now looking after thirty-five newbuildings for international owners. Roberto Cazzulo, Vice Director of RINA, Paolo Salza, Head of RINA Newbuilding Dept. and Michele Francioni, Area Manager of Korea & Japan welcomed representatives of all Korean shipyards, shipowners, local authorities and the whole RINA staff. Mrs. Alberici and Mr. Sama of the Italian Embassy in Seoul opened the office as guests of honor. The office will be staffed with 28 people, including 8 Plan Approval engineers and 15 surveyors.
