RFQ for High Speed Ferry Service Operators

The Bridgeport Port Authority and the City of Stamford seek qualifications from prospective High-Speed Operators to develop, commence and operate a high-speed ferry service connecting Bridgeport and Stamford, Connecticut to points in Manhattan, New York City.  The Bridgeport Port Authority and the City of Stamford intend to select a Preferred Operator for this service on/about July 20, 2009; selection will be based in part on proponent’s qualifications in operator/team experience and organization, quality of the operator’s financial structure, operator/team experience in high-speed ferry operations and success in project continuity.  A formal Request for Qualifications document provides details of studies completed and further information for prospective candidates.  Interested parties may obtain a Portable Data File (PDF) of the formal Request for Qualifications by contacting TPA Design Group at (203) 562-2182.
Proponents responding to the RFQ must deliver qualifications (12 copies) in a sealed envelope, clearly marked “High-Speed Ferry Operator Qualifications”; financial information should be included with qualifications package, placed in a separate, sealed envelope and marked “Confidential”.  Qualifications must be submitted no later than 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 28, 2009 to:
