Huangpu Shipbuilding Expands Use of PTC Shipbuilding Solution

Wednesday, November 30, 2005
Huangpu Shipbuilding expanded its use of PTC Shipbuilding Solution, which includes CADDS5i to improve its overall design capabilities. With the expanded software implementation, Huangpu Shipbuilding is standardizing PTC Shipbuilding Solution as its manufacturing design platform. Huangpu Shipbuilding believes that this decision will further accelerate its transformation into a modern international shipbuilding enterprise. CADDS 5i enables users to reference each other's evolving designs and facilitate concurrent engineering in a fully digitized ship design and 3D modeling environment. The application is designed to shorten product design lead-time and accelerate time-to-market, and will now be used by 80 additional engineers at Huangpu Shipbuilding.
