Freedom of the Seas is Set for First Trip

According to sources, the Freedom of the will sail next week for New York before heading down to its Miami base. The newest vessel to joint the Royal Caribbean fleet is reportedly, theworld's biggest liner, out-sizing the 151,000-ton Queen Mary 2 launched just over two years ago. Freedom's time at the top may be short-lived amid talk of even larger ships. A ship codenamed Project Genesis is already set to make an appearance in 2009 at 220,000 tons. Royal Caribbean says Freedom of the Seas, is able to carry more than 3,500 passengers. Source: BBC
