Damen Shipyards Gorinchem has completed a new high speed craft which is available in two options - the Damen Stan Patrol 1204 and the Damen Fast Crew Supplier 1204.  This craft replaces the Damen AluCat 1104 and the 1204.

The Damen Stan Patrol is built in both aluminium and GRP and has been built to carry out patrol, surveillance, SAR and crew supply duties.

Damen’s design criteria included operational versatility, strength, speed and ease of build.  With an overall length of 41.2 ft, a beam of 12.6 ft, and a draught of 2.6 ft, the aluminium longitudinal framed, heavy duty hull design has a very deep bow section.  It also has a modern modular designed GRP superstructure which is vacuum injected.  This has made the wheelhouse much lighter and easier to build than its predecessor and is fitted out separately from the hull.  The hull and superstructure are then assembled together at Damen Shipyards Gorinchem, Holland.

Driven by twin Caterpillar C7 339 kW (455 bhp) diesel engines at 2800 rpm powering twin UltraJet 340 waterjets the Damen Stan Patrol during sea trails of the first of eight boats produced a speed of 35 knots.

The UltraJet waterjet propulsion system together with the JetMaster joystick control system gives the boat excellent manoeuvrability and if necessary, the vessel can be stopped within one boat’s length from full ahead.

Fitted with all the usual safety equipment and a rescue platform on the transom, the wheelhouse incorporates the latest Raymarine systems and information management system and can accommodate up to 12 people in the Fast Crew Supplier version.

This craft will have an important role in its patrol, surveillance and SAR duties.
