Tuesday, April 26, 2005
Tideworks Technology announced an agreement with Copenhagen Malmö Port (CMP) to provide terminal operations systems solutions and professional services aimed at managing the activities of CMP. As part of the agreement, CMP will deploy Tideworks WiseTerm, a solution for managing multi-purpose cargo and container terminals, WiseCare for warehousing and inventory control, and WiseTalk, an advanced tool for communicating with customers and third parties. The Tideworks Wise Product Suite is a comprehensive system that operates on a variety of platforms including Windows, and can be deployed over the Web. The suite provides user-friendly solutions for all aspects of cargo and terminal management, including resource management, vessel services and advanced billing functionality. Project implementation is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2005 and will be managed by Tideworks' European office located in Rotterdam, Netherlands. "We needed an IT partner that could provide a comprehensive, integrated solution for our multi-purpose, multi-user harbor," said Lennart Pettersson, deputy managing director, CMP. "Tideworks Technology has a proven track record at ports around the world and we're confident their solutions will deliver outstanding results. We have chosen Tideworks as the best solution among more than 15 possible suppliers."
