ConocoPhillips Announces Management Changes

ConocoPhillips announced the following actions concerning the company's senior management. These changes will be effective September 1, 2007.

Exploration & Production Bill Berry, executive vice president, Exploration & Production – Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East, has elected to retire after 31 years of service. From September 1 until his retirement in January 2008, Mr. Berry will serve in a transition role. John Lowe, currently executive vice president, Commercial, will become executive vice president, Exploration & Production. Reporting to Mr. Lowe, and continuing to serve on the company’s management committee, will be:

Randy Limbacher, who will continue with his current operational responsibilities as president, Exploration & Production – Americas.

Ryan Lance, currently senior vice president, Technology, who will become president, Exploration & Production – Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.

Willie Chiang, currently president, Americas Supply and Trading, Commercial, will become senior vice president, Commercial. Phil Frederickson, currently executive vice president, Planning, Strategy & Corporate Affairs, has elected to retire after 29 years of service. Until his retirement, expected in January 2008, he will be executive vice president, Technology.

Sig Cornelius, currently president, Lower 48 Region, Exploration & Production, will become senior vice president, Planning, Strategy & Corporate Affairs. Steve Gates, senior vice president legal and general counsel, has elected to retire after 35 years practicing law, 30 of those in the energy business, four of which have been with ConocoPhillips. From September 1 until his retirement in January 2008, Mr. Gates will serve in a transition role.

Janet Langford Kelly, currently deputy general counsel, will become senior vice president, legal, general counsel and corporate secretary. Messrs. Lowe, Chiang and Cornelius, and Ms. Kelly will report to Mr. Mulva.
