Allegheny River – Safety Zone

The US Coast Guard established a temporary safety zone, through December 31, on the Allegheny River between mile markers 36.1 and 36.5 due to hazards associated with the active failure of Lock & Dam #6. Entry into the safety zone is prohibited unless specifically authorized by Captain of the Port (COTP) Pittsburgh. 73 Fed. Reg. 71555  (November 25, 2008).
