140 Ships for ChartCo

Tuesday, May 19, 2009

Columbia Shipmanagement has placed an order with ChartCo Ltd to provide ChartManager services for its complete fleet of 140 vessels.

As part of this agreement ChartCo will be providing data services to all vessels under the full technical management of Columbia Shipmanagement (CSM). The services provided will include ChartManager, an update service for digital Notices to Mariners and chart corrections. Delivery of the data will be via ChartCo’s unique broadcast service and ChartCo Select, an internet and email based delivery service.

The software provided as part of the solution allows vessels to manage their own corrections without recourse to shore-based providers.  The service includes a full catalogue of products, which is also updated weekly allowing the vessel to manage and update their onboard outfit.
